What We Offer
As the weather cools down at The Butterfly Pavilion, we begin to bring out the cool weather necessities. For our outdoor cocktail area, we provide patio heaters. These are perfect to set up between tables. We also offer clear covers for our pavilion during cold weather or rain, so you’ll be warm and cozy inside, but you’ll still be able to see the beauty outside. With close parking proximity, your guests won’t have to weather the cold for long upon their arrival to the venue. Lastly, the open layout of our beautiful meadow provides room for a temperature controlled tent if you choose to rent one.

Dress
The dress you choose for your winter wedding doesn’t have to reflect the cold weather. If you choose a dress without sleeves, a lace dress that’s see-through to portions of your stomach, back, or arms, or even a dress with a slit in the leg, you can always add to it. Wear long boots underneath to keep your legs warm and make a statement. Add a shawl or your favorite jean jacket to add a little extra pizazz. Or, you could wear a dress with long sleeves, and not worry about adding anything extra to keep you warm.

Food
The food at your winter wedding should be warm comfort food. We recommend pizza, barbecue, or fried chicken for a more casual reception. To scale things up a little, you could offer chicken and dumplings or even different options of soups and sandwiches. If you’re feeling creative, add a s’mores or hot chocolate bar for your guests to have some fun with!

Colors
The colors of white and gold are a great option for a neutral, yet elegant winter wedding. If you’re looking for a little more color than that, add in some blue accents. A more rustic color combination for a winter wedding is ivory and taupe. Again, keeping it simple and neutral, yet still charming and classy. If you’re more of one to make a statement, your winter wedding color should consist of red or burgundy with dark green accents and touches of white or gold.

Flowers
Of course, for a winter wedding, pine, fir, spruce, and other conifer needles will always be in style. Accenting your reception with this type of foliage could really make the space feel like a winter wonderland. Winterberries are also great accents and are great additions to your winter wedding if you chose a red color palette. Roses are the perfect flower to use all year round, and come in many different colors. They can be white or beige for a neutral wedding, or red or blue for a more colorful wedding.
